"VARIABLE BY-PASS CATALYTIC COMBUSTOR" Abstract of the Disclosure A catalytic combustor for a combustion chamber, in which a slide member provides a variable by-pass to relieve a back pressure of combustion by-products in the combuston chamber. The catalytic combustor is maintained in constant and active communication with the flow of combustion by-products being exhausted from the combustion chamber. The catalytic combustor may be fitted within an existing exhaust duct by means of an adapter ring.
