ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE In a variable capacity compressor having a capacity control mechanism so as to keep the suction pressure of the compressor constant by detecting the suction pressure, plural return ports, a return passage and an exit are provided for bypassing refrigerant gas from a volume-decrease-step space in a cylinder compartment to a volume-increase-step space. A guide passage wherein a slider slides by the pressure of the refrigerant gas is provided for controlling the amount of bypassing gas, whereby it is possible to control capacity correctly and stably.
