VARIABLE GEOMETRY TURBINE NOZZLE Abstract of the Disclosure A movable vane assembly in a gas turbine engine or compressor includes said vanes supported for rotation to vary the effective cross-sectional area of an annular passage. A plurality of rotatable gears are rotatably connected with said vanes and meshed with a ring gear. A support for the ring gear is supported by the housing in- wardly of and coaxial with the ring gear, the support comprising an annular ring having axially extending slot means therein. An outer shroud is supported by the housing and an inner shroud radially inwardly spaced from the outer shroud. The removable vane assembly includes link means connected to the ring gear by a pin. The ring gear has a plurality of recesses which mate with an eccentric flange on the pin.
