ABSTRACT A shovel with a blade and handle combines with a wheeled apparatus allowing the forward edge of the blade to be maintained at a selectable height above the ground. An axle supports two wheels, and struts extend between the axle and a bracket secured to the shovel handle. The struts can be held in place to extend generally away from the handle to allow the wheels to act as a fulcrum for pivoting the handle to various angulations, or the connection between the strutsand the bracket can be selected such that the struts fold toward the shovel blade, forming an acute angle with respect to the handle, for convenient storage.
