The switch comprises a central buffer memory (30) for the temporary storage of received data traffic until routing can be carried out and the messages received can be retransmitted. The invention is characterized in that the central buffer memory (30) and access to said buffer memory (30) by various input/output ports are managed by a sequencer (40) in order to have an implicit measurement of the storage time in the central buffer memory (30) and in order to minimize the number of switchings generating consumption and electromagnetic interference. The buffer memory is advantageously embodied with the aid of several modules (A, B, C D) operating in parallel.
Ce commutateur comporte une mémoire tampon centrale (30) pour stocker temporairement les trafics de données qu'il reçoit, le temps d'effectuer les routages et de procéder aux réémissions des messages qu'il reçoit. Il est remarquable en ce que sa mémoire tampon centrale (30) et les accès à cette mémoire tampon (30) par ses différents ports d'entrée-sortie sont gérés par un séquenceur (40) de manière à avoir une mesure implicite du délai de stockage des messages dans la mémoire tampon centrale (30) et à minimiser le nombre de commutations génératrices de consommation et de perturbations électromagnétiques. De manière avantageuse, la mémoire tampon est réalisée à l'aide de plusieurs modules (A, B, C D) fonctionnant en parallèle.
