VARIABLE SPEED DRIVING MECHANISM Abstract of the Disclosure A variable speed mechanism in which a friction wheel is movable in a plane normal to the plane of a driving wheel and in frictional engagement therewith to obtain a driving of the friction wheel at a speed and in a direction dependent upon the location of the frictional engagement of the friction wheel with the driving wheel, the driving wheel being rotated about a non-rotating pintle which engages the rim of the friction wheel when located at the axis of the driving wheel.
