A method, apparatus, and system are described for a central management system to configure remote devices. A device service manager server (DSM) may have an IP redirector module configured to cooperate with two or more device service controllers (DSCs) that are behind a firewall on a wide area network relative to a location of the DSM on the wide area network, where the DSM serves as a central management station for a distribution of initial configuration information to the DSCs, wherein an executable boot up file uploaded via a drive port in that DSC is scripted to gather configuration information for that DSC and network devices on the same network as that DSC and without a prompt by the DSM then sends configuration files to the DSM which makes a master copy of the device configuration file in the DSM's registry for that DSC.
L'invention concerne un procédé, un appareil et un système pour un système de gestion central destiné à configurer des dispositifs distants. Un serveur de gestionnaire de service de dispositif (DSM) peut comporter un module redirecteur d'IP configuré pour coopérer avec deux commandes de service de dispositif (DSC) ou plus qui sont derrière un pare-feu sur un réseau large par rapport à un emplacement du DSM sur le réseau large, où le DSM sert de poste de gestion central pour une distribution d'informations de configuration initiales à la DSC, un fichier de démarrage exécutable téléversé via un port pilote dans cette DSC étant scripté pour réunir des informations de configuration pour cette DSC et des dispositifs de réseau sur le même réseau que la DSC et sans une invite par le DSM, puis envoie des fichiers de configuration au DSM qui fait une copie originale du fichier de configuration de dispositif dans le registre du DSM pour cette DSC.
