ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION This invention is a vasoocclusive device. More particularly, it is a tubular vasoocclusion braid woven from at least radiopaque fibers. The braid may also be partially woven from radiolucent fibers. Optionally, the device may contain a fibrous center or wick in its interior. The device may be continuous or segmented and a fibrous covering or element may be attached.
