The invention provides a portable apparatus for straightening the frame and body of a vehicle. Means are provided to exert a pulling force between a portion of the vehicle and the straightening machine and further means are provided to selectively anchor the straightening machine to a floor and release same. Means are also provided for raising a vehicle for attachment of the vehicle to vertical supports, and to provide a vertical pull on a vehicle.
