In a vehicle braking system having a slack adjuster (1) with an actuator (7) and an electrically operable car control unit (40) an electrical switch (26) is responsive the position of the actuator (7) and is coupled to the car control unit (40) to provide an indication of the condition of the vehicle brake shoes, i.e. whether or not the brake shoes are disengaged from the vehicle wheels.

L'invention concerne un système de freinage de véhicule comprenant un levier de réglage (1) comportant un actionneur (7) ainsi qu'une unité de commande -de voiture- fonctionnant électriquement (40), un commutateur électrique (26) étant sensible à la position de l'actionneur (7) et étant couplé à l'unité de commande (40), afin de produire une indication de la position des semelles de frein du véhicule, à savoir si ces semelles sont dégagées ou non des roues du véhicule.
