A vehicle door lock device consists of a striker and a lock body. The striker has a pair of straight leg portions and arc shape portions, respectively formed at end portions of the leg portions. The lock body has a guide groove through which the striker proceeds or moves, a latch adapted to engage with the striker entering the guide groove,a ratchet keeping an engaged condition of the latch and striker, and a resilient stopper positioned at an end of the guide groove. The stopper has a first abutting portion against which the straight leg portion abuts and an arc shape second abutting portion against which the arc shape portions of the striker abuts. The leg portion abuts against the first abutting portion when the latch of the lock device situates at its mid position between the half latched position or condition and the full latched position or condition of the latch. While, the arc shape portion of the striker and the second abutting portion of the stopper abuts against each other, when the lock device or latch situates at its full latched position. The first abutting portion and/or the second abutting portion have groove portions of arc shape in section, improving a contact efficiency of the stopper and the striker.

La gâche comprend une paire de pattes droites et des parties arquées, formées respectivement sur les extrémités des pattes. Le corps de serrure comporte : une rainure-guide dans laquelle s'engage ou se déplace la gâche; un verrou conçu pour s'engager avec la gâche pénétrant dans la rainure-guide; un rochet conçu pour ancrer le verrou et la gâche; et une butée élastique placée à l'extrémité de la rainure-guide. La butée est composée d'une première section contre laquelle s'appuient les pattes droites de la gâche et d'une seconde section arquée contre laquelle s'appuient les parties arquées. Les pattes entrent en contact avec la première section de la butée lorsque le verrou est en position intermédiaire, c'est-à-dire entre la position ou l'état mi-verrouillé et la position ou l'état de verrouillage complet. La partie arquée de la gâche et la seconde partie de la butée s'appuient l'une sur l'autre lorsque la serrure ou le verrou est en position de verrouillage complet. La première et/ou la seconde partie de la butée comporte des rainures de section arquée, ce qui améliore l'efficacité du contact entre la butée et la gâche.
