A vehicle door lock assembly has a latch (12) for mounting on a vehicle door. The latch (12) has at least one release lever for effecting releasing of the latch and at least one locking lever (14) for locking the latch, disabling the release lever, and unlocking the latch, enabling the release lever. A compound linkage (20, 24; 20, 124) operatively engages the locking lever (14). A lock cylinder (30, 130) has a spindle (28) which engages the linkage. The spindle (28) rotates in response to keyed rotation of a matched key being received by the lock cylinder (30; 130) which drives the linkage (20, 24; 20, 124) to effect movement of the locking lever (14). The spindle (28) is axially slidable to disengage the spindle from the linkage. A hollow shield (34) shrouds the locking lever (14), the linkage (20, 24; 20, 124) and the engagement between the linkage and the spindle (28), preventing access thereto. If the spindle is removed, the linkage will pivot away preventing manipulation thereof. The hollow shield (34) also separates the linkage (20, 24; 20, 124) from the lock cylinder opening further minimizing unauthorized manipulation of the locking lever.

L'invention concerne un ensemble serrure de porte de véhicule qui comporte un verrou (12) se montant sur une porte de véhicule. Le verrou (12) comporte au moins un levier de déverrouillage servant à déverrouiller le verrou, et au moins un levier (14) de verrouillage servant à verrouiller le verrou, à bloquer le levier de déverrouillage, et à déverrouiller le verrou pour débloquer le levier de déverrouillage. Un mécanisme articulé (20, 24; 20, 124) composé se met en contact exploitable avec le levier (14) de verrouillage. Un barillet (30, 130) de serrure comporte une tige (28) qui se met en contact avec le mécanisme articulé. La tige (28) tourne en réponse à la rotation d'une clé correspondante dans le barillet (30, 130) de serrure, qui entraîne le mécanisme articulé (20, 24; 20, 124) de manière à déplacer le levier (14) de verrouillage. La tige (28) peut coulisser axialement de manière à dégager la tige du mécanisme articulé. Un blindage (34) creux enveloppe le levier (14) de verrouillage, le mécanisme articulé (20, 24; 20, 124) et la zone de contact entre le mécanisme articulé et la tige (28), empêchant l'accès à ceux-ci. Si la tige est enlevée, le mécanisme articulé se dégage en pivotant, ce qui permet de prévenir des manipulations de celui-ci. Le blindage (34) creux sépare également le mécanisme articulé (20, 24; 20, 124) de l'orifice du barillet de serrure, ce qui permet de réduire davantage les possibilités de manipulation non autorisée du levier de blocage.
