A vehicle entry apparatus (2) for a vehicle (1) having a door opening and a sill (15) has a platform (4) and rotatable mounting means (46) for mounting the platform adjacent the door opening. The platform (4) has a surface for supporting a wheelchair (3) thereon and is rotatable between a stowed position, in which at least part of the surface is positioned or positionable below at least part of the sill (15), and a loading position, in which the platform extends or is extendable through the door opening.
