A vehicle is described for gathering fowl from the ground and carrying them to a place of unloading, for example a cage. The vehicle comprises a main frame; wheels or tracks to support the main frame above the ground; an accumulating conveyor belt to carry the fowl in a first direction (which can be, substantially, the direction of the length of the vehicle); and an unloading conveyor belt that receives the fowl from the accumulating conveyor belt and carries the fowl received towards a place of unloading. The unloading conveyor belt carries the fowl in a second direction. The second direction may be at an angle with the first direction. The vehicle also comprises a belt-supporting structure to support the accumulating conveyor belt and the unloading conveyor belt. Advantageously, the vehicle may also comprise a counterframe. The belt-supporting structure is at least partially raisable respect to the counterframe. The vehicle may advantageously also comprise a weighing device placed between the main frame and the counterframe for weighing the fowl carried on the conveyor belts.
