ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A vehicle having a body with a door frame and a door assembly, the door assembly including three movable sections, an upper section horizontally slidable along a side of the vehicle from a position within the door frame to a position outside of the door frame, a center section having a longitud- inal channel along its top edge to receive the bottom edge of the upper section and the bottom edge of the center section being pivotally connected to the top edge of a lower section, the bottom edge of the lower section being pivotally connected to the bottom edge of the door frame, biasing means connecting the center section and the lower section adjacent one side edge thereof, flexible connecting means attached adjacent a top corner of the lower section, and actuating means operative- ly connected to the flexible connecting means. The vehicle may include a dual function hand operated control system including a lever affixed to a rotatable shaft, two spaced arms extending generally upwardly from the shaft forward of the lever, one of the arms being pivotally connected to a sub- stantially vertical push rod which extends downwardly into a substantially vertical sleeve, the lower end of the sleeve being operatively connected to a power brake booster through pivotally connecting linkage, and the second arm being operat- ively connected to a throttle cable extending from the dash through flexible connecting means. The vehicle may also have a dash mounted driver restraint system including a padded horizontal lap-engaging portion, adjustable connecting means joining the lap-engaging portion with the dash, an upstanding arm pivotally connected to the lap-engaging portion, a padded body-contacting portion on the free end of the arm, an inertia reel adjacent the dash, and flexible connecting means operatively connecting the free end of the arm with the inertia reel.
