ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A vehicle including a chassis, the vehicle for transporting garbage or the like, the vehicle including a rear end and a longitudinal axis and comprising a container including a top, a floor and two lateral walls, the container secured to the chassis and having a rear wall adapted to pivot or fold outwardly thereof, characterized in that the container is divided into front and rear parts via a parting line extending at right angles to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle, and wherein the front part is secured to the chassis and the rear part is movably secured to the chassis in such a manner as to be able to pivot upwardly about an axis extending transversely of and adjacent to the rear end of the vehicle and wherein the rear part is in communication with a drive for use in rotating the same about the axis so as to provide a tipping action to the rear part, and wherein a garbage pusher blade is mounted for sweeping movement within the front and rear parts, the pusher blade being adapted to sweep in a direction toward the rear end of the vehicle, the internal cross sectional area of the parts and being powered in its sweeping movement by a sliding drive means.
