Abstract of the Disclosure Use of mixtures, lightly-pigmented of necessary, of one more compounds of the following classes: a) polyethers, saturated or unsaturated polyester, hydrocarbons, hydrocarbon polymers, polyurethanes, polyepoxy compounds and polysilicones and polyamides, whereby these compounds contain at least two OH groups or amino groups per molecule; b) acrylic, methacrylic or itaconic acid or their homologs or derivatives, together with a photo- initiator on a base of benzoin or its derivatives or halogen-methylated benzophenonene, such as, for example, benzoyl benzal chloride, and if necessa- ry, co-reactive additives, such as polylmerizable compounds containing .alpha.,.beta.- unsaturated groups, and other unsaturated polyesters as varnish finishes for pulsed radiation hardening.
