A mounting device for connection of objects to a vehicle frame has a vehicle mount assembly secured to the frame which has hollow tubes projecting toward the forward end of the vehicle to engage posts on a connection assembly. In addition to having posts for the connection to the mount assembly, the connection assembly is suited for connection to personal use devices that are to be mounted on the vehicle, such as a snow plow, bicycle carrier, trailer shepherd or other object. Once the object is attached to the connection assembly and the posts of the connection assembly are engaged in the tubes of the mounting assembly, the posts and tubes are locked together for safety. To assist in lifting an object such as a snow plow to a height and position so that the posts of the connection assembly align with the tubes of the vehicle mounting assembly, a dolly has a parallel linkage assembly for easy raising and lowering of a load. The mounting device provides a simple, easy to use and easy to mount means of releasably securing objects to a vehicle frame, without significantly altering or reinforcing the frame.
