-13- ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A vehicle guidance apparatus (10) for use with a mobile transmitter/receiver located on the vehicle, which transmitter/receiver co-operates with a plurality of fixed transmitter/receivers located at spaced apart locations. The mobile transmitter/receiver determines the coordinates of the current location of the vehicle and the guidance apparatus comprises a display unit (18) and various processing means. The processing means includes means for receiving the coordinates of thetarget destination and means for receiving automatically from the mobile transmitter/receiver the coordinates of the current location of the vehicle. The processing means also includes display generation means, for generating on the display unit (18) a display of the relative directional displacement between thevehicle and the destination. Refer to Figure 1.
