A rotatable vehicle laundry brush (10) comprising a center shaft (18) and a plurality of axially stacked hollow blow-molded spacers (24, 26, 28, 30) which are pinned (40) and clamped together with felt discs (32) sandwiched between the spacers and extending radially outwardly therefrom so as to translate in an edgewise manner when the brush rotates. The felt discs are made up from pie shaped or rectangular brush elements the outer peripheries of which are subdivided into sample and/or compound fingers by a pattern of long and short slits (58, 60). Brush elements are also provided which translate in a facewise manner. Brush material is minimized and reconstruction of the brush is made more efficient.
Brosse rotative (10) de lavage de véhicule comprenant une tige centrale (18) et une pluralité d'éléments d'écartement (24, 26, 28, 30) creux, moulés par soufflage, empilés axialement, attachés (40) et serrés ensemble. Des disques en feutre (32) pris en sandwich entre lesdits éléments s'étendent radialement vers l'extérieur depuis lesdits éléments, de manière à effectuer une translation périphérique simultanément à la rotation de la brosse. Ces disques en feutre sont fabriqués en éléments brosse circulaires ou rectangulaires, dont les circonférences extérieures sont subdivisées en doigts uniques ou composés par une configuration de fentes longues et courtes (58, 60). Des éléments brosse effectuant une translation frontale sont également présents. Ceci permet de limiter au maximum le matériau des brosses et de rendre plus efficace la reconstitution de la brosse.
