VEHICLE POWER TRAIN WITH INPUT DIVIDER Abstract of the Disclosure A vehicle power train and drive arrangement has a pair of serially disposed hydrodynamic drive assemblies. The first of the drive assemblies is coupled to a prime mover and disposed in parallel drive relation with a service device or apparatus, such as a fluid pump. The second drive assembly is coupled with a gear mechanism which is adapted to drive the wheels of the vehicle. A bypass clutch, when engaged, effectively removes the first drive assembly from the power flow for improved performance when a high vehicle ground speed is desired, and when disengaged permits high power and speed delivery to the service apparatus while vehicle ground speed is maintained at zero or a low level.
