ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION VEHICLE PROTECTIVE COVER A protective cover for a vehicle is provided, comprising a flexible sheet retractible into a case mountable to a first end of a vehicle. The cover is retracted into the case by way of arrangement of cords slideably engaged to the cover, and retractible into the case. The cords may be taken up within the case by and array of spools mounted to the rotatable shaft of retraction means positioned within a first compartment of the case. The retraction of the cords gathers the sheet into a second compartment of the case. The cords further allow the sheet to be cinched down over a portion of the sides of the vehicle. The case may be a compartment incorporated into the vehicle, or it may be separately mounted to the vehicle. The invention further comprises a vehicle having a case for a cover incorporated therein.
