VEHICLE RIM AND HUB ASSEMBLY ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A rim and hub assembly having a generally cylindrical adapter member positioned between a hub and a rim. The central portion of the rim has a radially inner recessed surface for receiving an end of the adapter member. The other end of the adapter member is attached to the hub and thereby provides a cantilever support of the rim on the hub.
