- 8 - Safety Belt With Retractor Lock Device Abstract A safety belt system with a retractor lock device which includes a retractor, a belt terminating in a male buckle member, a female buckle member, and a retractor lock device. The retractor lock device includes a lock member, a base member having an anchor bolt attached thereto, a spring and a guide bolt. The lock member is movable between a disengaged position and an engaged position, the spring normally urging the lock member into the disengaged position. When the male buckle member is inserted into the female buckle member, it moves the lock member into engagement with the retractor, thereby preventing rotation of the retractor.
