A seat base for an R.V. or similar vehicle for supporting a vehicle seat above the vehicle floor in spaced relation thereto to provide a storage space between the seat base and the floor. The seat base comprises spaced apart front and rear support structures, each adapted to be secured to the floor of the vehicle. A generally horizontal support beam structure extends between said support structures and is connected thereto at the upper extremities thereof for supporting a vehicle seat on and above said support beam structure intermediate said front and rear support structures.
