A vehicle security system combines immobilized protection with vehicle entry signalling. Either a remote signalling device (26) is used to generate a remote signal (30) or an input device such as a keypad on car exterior or door (34), mounted on the vehicle, is used to generate an access signal. An entry control unit (24) receives and interprets the remote signal or the access signal and unlocks the vehicle doors when appropriate. At the same time, the entry control unit communicates with an engine controller (22) that an appropriate signal has been received. In response, the engine controller enables the vehicle engine to be started so that the vehicle can be driven in a conventional manner.

L'invention porte sur un système de sécurité pour véhicule combinant une protection par immobilisation du véhicule et un signal d'effraction. On utilise soit un dispositif de télésignalisation (26) produisant un télésignal (30), soit un dispositif d'introduction tel qu'un clavier monté sur le véhicule à l'extérieur ou sur une porte (34) pour produire un signal d'accès. Une unité de commande d'accès (24) reçoit et interprète le télésignal ou le signal d'accès et débloque les portes du véhicule quand c'est opportun. Parallèlement, l'unité de commande d'entrée communique contrôleur (22) du moteur qu'un signal d'opportunité a été reçu. En réponse, ledit contrôleur permet la mise en marche du moteur et une conduite normale.
