A vehicle suspension for use on the chassis frame of a vehicle for providing a soft ride while controlling roll about a longitudinal roll axis of the vehicle extend- ing in the fore and aft direction thereof. The vehicle suspension includes forward and rear transverse axles; force transmitting means connected to the forward and rear axles at opposite ends thereof for allowing the forward and rear axles to move substantially independently of one another in the vertical direction and for resiliently resisting the amount of relative rotational roll movement of the chassis about the longitudinal roll axis such that the vehicle suspension is simultaneously torsionally stiff in roll about the longitudinal roll axis while permitting the axles to move vertically substantially independently of one another; and resilient central bushing means generally centrally located on the force transmitting means for fastening the force transmitting means to the frame of the vehicle while allowing rotation about the vertical axis of the bushing means and suspension articulation about a transverse axis through the bushing means.
