A B S T R A C T An endless track member for a track laying vehicle has separate, transversely orientated, track elements, and at least one elongate core element holding the track elements abuttingly together, bead fashion. Each track element has, at opposed sides, abutting formations abutting corresponding formations of adjacent track elements, such as to allow relative pivoting of adjacent track elements about lateral pivot axes, outer checking formations to abut corresponding formations of adjacent track elements to limit the radius of curvature a portion of the track can assume without deformation to a predetermined maximum value, and inner checking formations to abut corresponding formations of adjacent track elements to limit the radius of curvature a portion of the track number can assume without deformation to a predetermined minimum value commensurate with the diameter of wheels over which the track member runs. Each track element includes a seat for each core element at a level corresponding to the level of said lateral pivot axes.
