Vehicle Transfer Gear Mechanism Abstract A transfer gear mechanism for a four-wheel drive tractor or the like includes a depending gear transfer train that has an input gear on an upper axis and an output gear on a lower axis. Housing means are provided for supporting the gear transfer train, a pump along the upper axis, and a PTO clutch assembly along a third axis between the upper and lower axes such that the PTO clutch assembly is disposed underneath the pump at an effective location. A service brake assembly is also disposed on the lower axis and it, the pump, and the PTO clutch assembly can be individually serviced.
