here is presented a vehicle transmission comprising a gearbox (1) with an output shaft that drives a U-joint (10), as well as an eddy-current-based electric retarder (22) comprising inducing stator (21) mounted outboard of the sump (3) and an induced rotor (21) with two wheels (32) framing the stator. These wheels are fastened to the two ends of a spacer tube (36) surrounding the U-joint, one end of the tube being also attached to a plate (49) that is integral with the gearbox output shaft.

Il s'agit d'une transmission de véhicule comprenant d'une part une boîte de vitesses (1) présentant un arbre de sortie qui entraîne un joint de cardan (10), et d'autre part un ralentisseur électrique a courants de Foucault comportant un stator inducteur (22) annulaire monté en porte-à-faux sur le carter (3) de la boîte de vitesses et un rotor induit (21) qui inclut deux roues (32) encadrant le stator. Ces roues sont fixées aux deux extrémités d'un tube intercalaire (36) qui entoure le joint de cardan, l'une de ces extrémités étant également fixée à un plateau (49) solidaire de l'arbre de sortie de la boîte de vitesses.
