The vehicle, for example a stand-up wheelchair, comprises a frame (11) and, arranged on the latter, a seat device (19). On each side of the frame (11), the central wheel (13), which can be driven by a motor (27), and the front wheel (15) are operatively connected to each other by an endless chain (45). The frame (11) has a front part (21) and a rear part (23), which are connected to each other in an articulated manner by way of ajoint (25). In the sitting position, the front wheels (15) are not in contact with the ground, which means that they do not obstruct the manoeuvring of the vehicle in a confined space. In the standing position, the front wheels (15) are in contact with the ground, but the central wheels (13) are not. The user, in the standing position, is thus able to turn about the axis of the vehicle, without the central wheels (13) having a blocking action.
La présente invention concerne un véhicule, par exemple un fauteuil roulant verticaliseur, possédant un châssis (11) et un dispositif d'assise (19) monté sur celui-ci. Sur chaque côté du châssis (11), la roue médiane (13) qui peut être entraînée par un moteur (27) et la roue avant (15) sont mises en interaction par une chaîne sans fin (45). Le châssis (11) présente une partie avant (21) et une partie arrière (23) qui sont reliées en étant articulées l'une par rapport à l'autre au moyen d'une articulation (25). En position assise, les roues avant (15) ne sont pas en contact avec le sol de sorte qu'elles n'empêchent pas le véhicule de tourner dans un espace réduit. En position debout, les roues avant (15) sont en contact avec le sol, ce qui n'est pas le cas des roues médianes (13). L'utilisateur qui se trouve en position debout peut ainsi tourner avec le véhicule autour de l'axe propre sans que les roues médianes (13) provoquent un blocage.
