ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The venetian blind consists of a plurality of slats which are flat black on one side and silvered on the other so that the blind can be light and heat reflective or heat absorb- ing but light transmitting between adjacent slats, depending upon the position of the slats. The venetian blind of the above type may be situated between two spaced and parallel glass win- dows thus functioning to collect heat, circulate warm air, and ventilate depending upon adjustment. The preferred embodiment incorporates venetian slats having a layer of insulation incor- porated therein, so that when the venetian slats are closed a minimum of sunlight is transmitted and only a minimum of heat is transmitted through the slats.
