A wall system for a structure including elongate furring strips having a multiplicity of transversely oriented air passages. The elongate furring strips are arranged on a first envelope layer of a wall and covered with a second envelope layer. The furring strips space the first and second envelope layers apart, forming a plurality of enclosed cavities or air spaces. The cavities are in fluid communication with each other through the air passages in the furring strips, and may be in fluid communication with the outside atmosphere. Air is thusly enabled to circulate from the outdoors through substantially all portions of the cavities, promoting drying of the first and second envelope layers, which may be sheathing and finish siding.
L'invention concerne un système de mur pour une structure comprenant des tasseaux allongés présentant une multiplicité de passages d'air orientés dans le sens transversal. Ces tasseaux allongés sont disposés sur une première couche d'enveloppe d'un mur et recouverts d'une seconde couche d'enveloppe. Ces tasseaux espacent la première et la seconde couche d'enveloppe l'une de l'autre, formant ainsi une pluralité de cavités fermées ou d'espaces d'air. Ces cavités sont en communication fluidique les unes avec les autres à travers les passages d'air dans les tasseaux et peuvent être en communication fluidique avec l'air ambiant. L'air peut ainsi circuler depuis l'extérieur à travers presque toutes les parties des cavités, permettant ainsi le séchage de la première et de la seconde couche d'enveloppe, et le revêtement et le bardage final.
