The ventilated footwear comprises a lower part incorporating a sole, an upper part coupled to the lower part and shaped to receive a foot of a wearer. The upper part has an arch portion and is provided with an inside surface adapted to permit air circulation therethrough, and an outside surface provided with ventilation holes located in the arch portion of the upper part of the footwear. A breathable waterproof or water resistant or water repellent barrier is sandwiched between the inside and outside surfaces in the arch portion of the upper part of the footwear across the holes. Furthermore, an insole is preferably disposed into the footwear. The insole has an arch portion adjacently located to the arch portion of the upper part of the footwear. The upper layer of the insole is adapted to permit air circulation therethrough. The insole has a bottom layer provided with transverse intersecting channels extending inwardly from a peripheral edge of the insole. At least one of the channels is adjacent to the holes located in the arch portion of the outside surface of the upper part of the footwear. The channels are provided with openings in communication with the upper layer.
Selon cette invention, les articles chaussants aérés comportent une partie inférieure comprenant une semelle, une partie supérieure couplée à la partie inférieure et ayant la forme voulue pour accueillir un pied. La partie supérieure a une partie cambrure et comporte une surface intérieure permettant à l'air de circuler à travers, et une surface extérieure comportant des trous de ventilation situés dans la partie de cambrure de la partie supérieure des articles chaussants. Une barrière respirante étanche ou résistante à l'eau est intercalée entre les surfaces intérieure et extérieure dans la partie cambrure de la partie supérieure des articles chaussants, dans la zone des trous. En outre, une semelle intérieure est de préférence disposée dans les articles chaussants. La semelle intérieure a une partie cambrure contiguë à la partie cambrure de la partie supérieure des articles chaussants. La couche supérieure de la semelle intérieure est conçue pour permettre à l'air de circuler. La semelle intérieure possède une couche inférieure comportant des canaux transversaux croisés qui s'étendent vers l'intérieur depuis un bord périphérique de la semelle intérieure. Au moins un des canaux est adjacent aux trous faits dans la partie cambrure de la surface extérieure de la partie supérieure des articles chaussants. Les canaux comportent des ouvertures communiquant avec la couche supérieure.
