VENTILATED MOWER MOTOR ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A ventilated mower motor for a mower having a deck, all electric motor within a housing mounted on the deck, a thermal switch sensing the motor temperature within the housing and a pressure differential creating blade rotatably supported by the motor below the deck. The improved ventilation system arises from a plurality of inlet apertures located below the position of the thermal switch and a plurality of outlet apertures located above and in close proximity to the blade. These aperture locations create a cooling air flow through the motor housing by utilizing the pressure differential created by the blade.
