ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A ventilating duct, in the form of a light trap which allows relatively unrestricted air flow while excluding light, comprises a pair of parallel, opposed side walls, and a series of curved vanes extending therebetween. The vanes are in a nested relationship to define between them a plurality of channels of substantially uniform width, the spacing being chosen in relation to their curvature to prevent rays of light passing through the duct. The vanes are integrally formed of black, plastic material to prevent light reflections in the channels. The ventilating duct is primarily intended for use in poultry barns.
