Abstract of the Disclosure Conventional ventilation apparatus installed in a ceiling structure has a fixed, horizontal deflector plate located below the outlet of a duct. The plate may have vanes inclined from the vertical at an angle and spaced from one another by channels through which air can flow so that air is deflected away from the vertical. In the present invention the deflector plate is rotatably mounted by bearings around its edge and is driven by an electric motor or turbine to rotate the deflector plate slowly about a vertical axis so that air is swept about the vertical axis.
