A ventilator (10) for use by a clinician in supporting a patient presenting pulmonary distress. A controller module (20) with a touch-screen display (26) operates a positive or negative pressure gas source (40) that communicates with the intubated or negative pressure configured patient through valved (46) supply and exhaust ports (42, 44). A variety of peripheral, central, and or supply/exhaust port positioned sensors (54) may be included to measure pressure, volumetric flow rate, gas concentration, transducer, and chest wall breathing work. Innovative modules and routines (30) are incorporated into the controller module enabling hybrid, self-adjusting ventilation protocols and models that are compatible with nearly every conceivable known, contemplated, and prospective technique, and which establish rigorous controls configured to rapidly adapt to even small patient responses with great precision so as to maximize ventilation and recruitment while minimizing risks of injury, atelectasis, and prolonged ventilator days.
L'invention concerne un ventilateur (10) pour une utilisation par un clinicien en support d'un patient présentant une détresse pulmonaire. Un module de contrôleur (20) avec un dispositif d'affichage à écran tactile (26) actionne une source de gaz à pression positive ou négative (40) qui communique avec le patient intubé ou configuré à pression négative à travers une alimentation à soupapes (46) et des orifices d'évacuation (42, 44). Une diversité de détecteurs (54) périphériques, centraux et/ou positionnés sur les orifices de distribution/d'évacuation peuvent être inclus pour mesurer une pression, un débit volumétrique, une concentration en gaz, un transducteur et un travail de respiration de paroi de la cage thoracique. Des modules innovants et des routines innovantes (30) sont incorporés à l'intérieur du module de contrôleur, actionnant des protocoles et des modèles de ventilation à auto-ajustement hybrides qui sont compatibles avec presque toute technique imaginable connue, envisagée et prospective, et qui établissent des contrôles rigoureux configurés pour s'adapter rapidement à des réponses de patient même faibles avec une précision importante, de façon à rendre maximale la ventilation et le recrutement tout en rendant minimaux les risques de blessure, d'atélectasie et de jours sous ventilateur prolongés.
