ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An inflatable dock seal for closing the area around an opening such as a loading dock with respect to a truck or a trailer is provided with a venting valve arranged for self-opening when the inflatable dock seal is partially collapsed as by engagement with a truck or trailer thereagainst. This invention distinguishes from other inventions by reason of the venting valve on the inflatable sections providing a self-opening vent of a simple and inexpensive nature for attachment to inflatable dock seals. -2-
