My invention is a fishing line storage spool, (which I have named Versa Spool.TM.), that facilitates the ease of extraction of fishing line from Versa Spool.TM. to the fishing reel, and conversely the ease of extraction of fishing line from the fishing reel and back onto Versa Spool.TM.. Protruding from one side of Versa Spool.TM. is a centered, fixed axle that has a controllable, rotating, slotted sleeve surrounding it. The rotating slotted sleeve can be controlled in a manner that applies tension on the fishing line during extraction from Versa Spool.TM., or conversely, controlled in a different manner that allows for the extraction of the fishing line from the fishing reel and back onto Versa Spool.TM.. The other side of Versa Spool.TM. has a pocket inside of it that allows the slotted sleeve and axle of another Versa Spool.TM. to fit inside of it.
