Abstract Polygonal construction set described in the prior art permits a margin of an element to mate with a complementary margin of another such element only in one fashion. It is also not possible to mate a margin of an element of a certain dimension with a margin of another element of a different dimension. The present design allows a margin of an element to mate with a complementary margin of another such element in many fashions. Also, one of the two elements can be flipped over, and mate with the other element in many fashions. Furthermore, a margin of an element of a certain dimension can mate with a margin of an element of a different dimension, and again, in many fashions. The element is also designed such that one element can rotate approximately 180 degrees about an axis parallel to the face of another element. It is further designed such that one element can rotate approximately 180 degrees about an axis parallel to a margin of the other element.
