Methodology for constructing composite particles from ingredients comprising two or more particulate components. The resultant particles are usefully incorporated into powder coating compositions. The approach also finds utility in other applications, including but not limited to the food, drug, and cosmetics industry. Fluidized particles are subjected to an intense, but relatively brief heating event. This causes associated particles to fusingly assemble into fused composite clusters.

L'invention concerne une méthode destinée à former des particules composites à partir d'ingrédients comprenant deux ou plusieurs composants particulaires. Les particules résultantes sont avantageusement incorporées dans des compositions de revêtement en poudre. Cette technique trouve également une utilité dans d'autres applications, telles que l'industrie alimentaire, pharmaceutique et cosmétique, entre autres. Des particules fluidisées sont soumises à une opération de chauffage intense mais relativement brève, ce qui amène les particules associées à s'assembler par fusion en agglomérats composites fusionnés.
