A sterile implant for treatment of a spinal disc defect comprising an allograft cortical bone demineralized to a Type I collagen having a specific shape which is treated to eliminate osteoinductivity. The implant is lyophilized and compressed into smaller first shape which 20 to 80% from its original shape in at least one dimension and hardened. The implant expanding when hydrated into a second shape having the shape memory of the first shape and expanded in dimensional size from the first compressed shape.

L'invention concerne un implant stérile destiné au traitement d'une défaillance d'un disque spinal comprenant un os cortical d'allogreffe déminéralisé en du collagène de type I, présentant une forme spécifique, qui est traité pour éliminer l'ostéoinductivité. L'implant est lyophilisé et comprimé dans une première forme plus petite, comprise entre 20 et 80% de sa taille originale dans au moins une dimension, puis durci. L'implant se développe, lorsqu'il est hydraté, dans une seconde forme présentant une mémoire de forme de la première forme, puis il est expansé dans une taille dimensionnelle de la première forme comprimée.
