A helmet mount includes a helmet block, a chassis attached to the helmet block, the chassis adapted to receive the night vision device, and a vertical adjustment assembly for vertically adjusting a night vision device relative to a user's eyes while the helmet mount is secured to the helmet and the night vision device is received in the helmet mount. The vertical adjustment assembly includes a front and back plate that are slidably connected, wherein the front plate is coupled to the chassis and the back plate is coupled to the helmet mount, and a gear drive system. Rotating a lever on the gear drive system rotates the gear so that the vertical position of the chassis is changed relative to the helmet block. The gear driven system further includes at least one biasing means placed between the front plate and the back plate and may include a tapered shaft.
Système de montage sur un casque, qui comporte un bloc situé sur le casque, un support attaché au bloc situé sur le casque, ledit support étant adapté pour recevoir le dispositif de vision nocturne et un ensemble d'ajustement vertical permettant l'ajustement vertical du dispositif de vision nocturne par rapport à l'oeil de l'utilisateur, lorsque le système de montage est fixé au casque et que le dispositif de vision nocturne est reçu dans le système de montage. L'ensemble d'ajustement vertical comporte une plaque avant et une plaque arrière qui sont connectées l'une à l'autre de manière coulissante, la plaque avant étant couplée au support et la plaque arrière étant couplé au système de montage sur le casque, et un système d'entraînement par engrenage. La rotation d'un levier sur le système d'entraînement par engrenage fait tourner l'engrenage si bien que la position verticale du support est modifiée par rapport au bloc situé sur le casque. Le système entraîné par engrenage comporte en outre au moins un moyen de contrainte placé entre la plaque avant et la plaque arrière et peut comporter une tige conique.
