A vertical axis wind turbine (VAWT) comprise of a set of stator blades that redirect wind tangentially into a rotor having a plurality of modified Tesla disks. The stator blades are designed with different inward and outward curvatures and are disposed around the rotor as such that, regardless of the wind direction, the air inflow will be imparted tangentially to the rotor. The upper top and lower top of the stator structure is designed as hemispheres for maximum air inflow. The vertical rotor consists of a series of disks each of them having a plurality of small curved blades disposed circumferentially on the disk and continued with small ribs on the upper surface of the disk. Between two ribs on the upper surface there is a corresponding rib on the lower surface of the disk to take full advantage of Coanda effect having as a result a high- efficient VAWT.
