ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Vertical bus bars for motor control centers char- acterized by elongated metal conductors having a Zee-shape cross section for use in an upright cabinet type of motor control center in which electrical connection is made by plugging apparatus onto the bus bars at any point in a vertical plane, either from the front or the rear of the bus bars without impediment. Bolted connections may also be made from either the front or the rear of the bus bars. Finally, the Zee-shaped bus bars are inherently strong enough to withstand electromechanical forces that occur with ground faults of the order of 100,000 rms symmetrical amperes.
