A vertical centrifugal separator is provided which includes a mechanism for automatically discharging solids produced during centrifugal processing after the centrifugal processing. The vertical centrifugal separator includes a casing 4, a bowl 5 that is rotatably housed in the casing 4 and provided to separate a solution to be processed supplied to the inside of the bowl 5 into a liquid and a solid by the action of centrifugal force and to discharge the liquid and the solid, and a discharge assembly 6 that is rotatably housed in the bowl 5 and provided to discharge the solid in the bowl. The bowl and the discharge assembly each have an engagement portion being engaged or disengaged when the bowl and the discharge assembly are moved relative to each other in an axial direction and a position adjustment mechanism for adjusting the phase between the discharge assembly and the bowl relative to their rotation axis, for example, at a single relative position. When the solution to be processed is centrifuged, the bowl and the discharge assembly integrally rotate in an engagement state in which the phase adjusted by the position adjustment mechanism is held. The bowl and the discharge assembly are allowed to rotate relative to each other when the engagement state is released.
L'invention concerne un séparateur centrifuge de type vertical qui comprend un mécanisme destiné à décharger automatiquement un matériau solide, produit pendant une séparation centrifuge, après l'exécution de cette séparation centrifuge. Le séparateur centrifuge de type vertical comprend : un carter (4); une cuve (5) qui est disposée rotative dans le carter (4) et sert à séparer un liquide qui alimente ladite cuve, dans des conditions de traitement, en un liquide et un matériau solide au moyen d'une force centrifuge, puis à décharger le matériau séparé ; et un élément de décharge (6) qui est disposé rotatif dans la cuve (5) et sert à décharger le matériau de la cuve. La cuve et l'élément de décharge comprennent une partie d'alignement destinée à aligner la cuve et l'élément de décharge/supprimer l'alignement entre la cuve et l'élément de décharge par déplacement relatif de ces derniers dans la direction axiale, et un mécanisme de mise en correspondance de position de la phase de l'élément de décharge et de la cuve, par exemple, en un seul endroit autour de leur axe de rotation. Lorsque le liquide, dans des conditions de traitement, subit une séparation centrifuge, l'élément de décharge et la cuve tournent comme une pièce monobloc en état d'alignement dans lequel la phase produite par le mécanisme de mise en correspondance de position est maintenue, et une rotation relative étant possible par libération de l'état d'alignement.
