A diverter assembly for diverting articles from a first conveyor path between a first conveyor and a second conveyor to a second conveyor path between the first conveyor and a third conveyor positioned beneath the second conveyor, includes a frame and first and second driven conveying surfaces, which are supported by the frame. Each of the conveying surfaces is adapted to move between a first position and a second position. The first driven conveying surface is pivoted about an input end when moved between its first and second positions, while the second driven conveying surface is pivoted about an output end when moved between its first and second positions. The first and second driven conveying surfaces are aligned when in their respective first positions and define a first conveyor path for transporting articles from the first conveyor to the second conveyor. When in their respective second positions, the first and second driven conveying surfaces define two separate conveyor paths, with the first driven conveying surface aligning between the first conveyor and the third conveyor to divert articles to the third conveyor, and the second driven conveying surface being generally horizontally aligned with the second conveyor.

L'invention concerne un ensemble de déviation permettant de dévier des articles depuis un premier trajet de transport, entre des premier et deuxième transporteurs, vers un second trajet de transport, entre des premier et troisième transporteurs, le troisième transporteur se trouvant sous le deuxième transporteur. L'ensemble comprend un châssis ainsi que des première et seconde surfaces de transport entraînées, soutenues par le châssis. Chaque surface se déplace entre des première et seconde positions: la première surface pivote autour d'une extrémité d'entrée lorsqu'elle se déplace entre lesdites positions. Ces surfaces sont alignées, dans leurs premières positions respectives, définissant le premier trajet de transport, pour le transport des articles entre les premier et deuxième transporteurs. Dans leurs secondes positions respectives, les surfaces définissent deux trajets de transport distincts, la première surface s'alignant entre les premier et troisième transporteurs, pour dévier les articles vers le troisième transporteur, et la seconde surface est généralement alignée horizontalement avec le deuxième transporteur.
