The invention concerns a vertical panel saw (10) with a horizontally and vertically moving saw assembly (28) and with an essentially vertical workpiece-support grid (14) designed to move vertically. The grid (14) has a multiplicity of spaced parallel horizontal bars (16) and, at right angles to the bar;, suction channels (20) which open out towards the workpiece. The panel saw also has a device for collecting the sawdust produced on the grid side of the workpiece when cutting horizontally. In order to be able to use a lower-power suction fan, the invention proposes that the workpiece-support bars (16) are designed as essentially closed channels with a slot-shaped opening running essentially the whole length of each bar and into which one edge of the saw blade can enter, essentially without making contact, when cutting horizontally. The channels in the bars are connected to a sawdust-collection unit, the channels forming part of the device for collecting the sawdust produced on the grid side of the workpiece when cutting horizontally.
L'invention concerne une machine à scier verticale (10) pour le découpage de panneaux, comprenant un groupe scie (28) déplaçable horizontalement et verticalement, une grille porte-pièce (14) sensiblement verticale, susceptible de se déplacer à la verticale et présentant une pluralité de barres supports (16) disposées horizontalement, parallèlement et à distance l'une de l'autre, et des canaux d'aspiration (20) ouverts vers la pièce et disposés perpendiculairement auxdites barres supports, ainsi qu'un dispositif destiné à recevoir la sciure produite du côté grille, lors d'une coupe horizontale. Afin de pouvoir utiliser un ventilateur à faible puissance d'aspiration de la sciure, la machine selon l'invention est caractérisée en ce que les barres supports (16) sont réalisées sous forme de canaux sensiblement fermés, et présentant chacune une ouverture en forme de rainure s'étendant sensiblement sur toute sa longueur, dans laquelle un bord de la lame de scie du groupe scie (28) peut pénétrer sensiblement sans contact lors d'une coupe horizontale, et en ce que les canaux des barres supports sont raccordés à un collecteur de sciure, lesdits canaux formant en même temps une partie du dispositif collectant la sciure produite côté grille lors d'une coupe horizontale.
