A vertical stand-up pouch or flexible package, and method for manufacturing same, constructed by modification to existing vertical form and fill packaging machines. The invention involves producing a vertical stand-up pouch from a single sheet of packaging film by creating a vertical crease along one edge of a packaging film tube prior to forming a transverse seal on the tube. Said vertical crease is formed using a stationary tucker bar (106) positioned outside the packaging film tube and between two forming plates (104) positioned inside the packaging film tube.

L'invention concerne un sachet à maintien vertical d'emballage souple et son procédé de fabrication. Ledit sachet est construit par la modification de machines de formage-remplissage-emballage. Le procédé de fabrication consiste à produire un sachet à maintien vertical à partir d'une seule feuille de film d'emballage par la création d'un faux-pli le long d'un bord du tube de film d'emballage, avant le formage d'une soudure transversale sur le tube. Ledit faux-pli vertical est formé au moyen d'une barre plieuse stationnaire (106) placée à l'extérieur du tube de film d'emballage et entre deux plaque de formage (104) placées à l'intérieur du tube de film d'emballage.
